Integrated Shiitake Producing and Processing Society

The Integrated Shiitake Producing and Processing Society works to uplift remote village communities in Manipur socially, economically, and educationally.  They offer intensive training in shiitake cultivation for farmers and their families.  As a state level organization, it also arranges projects on forestation, agricultural technologies such as mushroom cultivation, compost production, food preservation, and health and hygiene throughout the state of Manipur.  As a path toward local development, it provides programs to build peace and harmony among the tribal groups.  Its programs for basic education, farming skills, and income generation work in close relation with each other.
