Mr. Se Hoon Jang

Work

Se Hoon Jang didn’t grow up in a rural area and his university major, biochemistry, is not even close to organic farming.  But he wants to learn about organic farming, and in the future he wants to be a researcher who can draw a connection between organic farming and biotechnology.  He seeks to find a balance these two seemingly opposite fields, using technology combined with natural measures to improve the quality of plants.  The reason for this dream is to work toward a way to reduce or even eliminate starvation in the world while preserving the natural environment.  He was sent here by the Deok Geo Methodist Church, which he attends with his mother when he visits her.  The pastor there has encouraged him a lot and he hopes to take advantage of his time at ARI to make a turning point in his life.
