Name :

Rev. George Owusu-Ababio

Country : Ghana
Native language : Asante - Twi
Work Position : Pastor, Secretary and Chairman of Evangelism Association Committee

Work

Rev. Owusu-Ababio grew up on a small farm in rural Ghana, where he learned to grow vegetables and other crops so that his family could eat. Now as an ordained minister of a rural church, he looks not only to the spiritual needs of his people, but also to their basic day to day needs of providing for their families.  Currently, he is working closely with his community, hosting workshops and coordinating training in agricultural and clean water management. Furthermore he helps with social and economic projects such as opening a bakery through his church, and helping his congregation market traditional tie dye and batik textiles. He hopes to learn more about organic farming methods at ARI to help free his community of dependence upon costly chemical fertilizers.

As the Secretary and Chairman of the Evangelism Association, Rev. Owusu-Ababio gives guidance to a committee made up of forty-eight churches dedicated to evangelism. But as he demonstrates through his work, he believes that helping to spread the gospel must also be accompanied by good works centered in Christ.
