In the midst of all the confusion throughout Japan and the world due to CORVID-19, the Asian Rural Institute is still planning on holding it`s 2020 Rural Leader`s Training Program, welcoming many participants from Africa and Asia. Yet, due to the contagious CORVID-19 we must change the start date of this year’s program. We will therefore have the opening ceremonies for this year’s program on Friday, May 1st with the participants who arrive by the end of April, staff and volunteers. Unfortunately, this means that we will not be able to welcome outside guests to this year’s opening ceremonies.
Other annual events in April and May will also be affected by this situation. We have decided to cancel the Old Book Market and English Farm programs with the hopes of convening them in the autumn or winter of this year. We also are not able to accept visitors and campers until the end of May. As always, we appreciate your ongoing support and understanding.
