ARI proudly presents this short movie about the Class of 2020! Have you met this year’s ten participants from seven countries, who against all odds were able to come to ARI? For the 2020 academic year, due to the spread of the coronavirus, 19 of the candidates were not able to enroll as they were hindered by an array of factors such as city blockades, borders closing, and visas being canceled. 48th Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration   Finally, our 48th Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration (HTC) is this weekend! This year HTC is divided into morning and afternoon sessions and is limited to those who made reservations. We are looking forward to seeing everyone! Unfortunately, we have reached the maximum number of reservations and are no longer accepting new reservations. Update for the 48th HTC, Reservations are Now Closed

HTC Update (12:00am September 25, 2020) We regret to announce that reservations for the 48th Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration (HTC) have now closed. Thank you for your interest in joining the event. However, we will also begin taking requests for a waiting list on Thursday, October 1 from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Reservations for the waiting list can be made by phone only: 0287-36-3111 Thank you for your continued support of ARI and our activities!

48th Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration!

It is nearing that time of year and we are now working towards the 2020 Harvest Thanksgiving Celebration (HTC)! HTC is the biggest event of its kind at ARI, a celebration to appreciate the blessings of nature and the harvest we have enjoyed. 2020 Used Book Market – Change of Opening Hours

The opening hours of the 2020 Used Book Market will change starting July 1st. From yesterday, the 2020 Used Book Market officially opened! We are looking forward to your visit. ARI’s 48th Opening Ceremony

The 48th Opening Ceremony was held at ARI on Friday, May 1st, with only ARI community members (students, staff, and volunteers) in attendance. Unlike usual years, due to the influence of COVID19, we were only able to hold a small Opening Ceremony. However, after a lot of preparation and effort, the 2020 participants were able to give their self-introductions in Japanese.
