Study Camps

ARI provides a very unique opportunity for young people through our work camp program. We invite groups of all sizes to come and join us in our daily farm work and thus have the experience of working together and communicating with all the members of our international community. This is especially meaningful to youth who have grown up in urban areas, many of which have never seen farm animals or planted a seed. They have the chance to gain many new experiences, which truly impact their lives.

Some examples of the work they do are gathering eggs, harvesting crops and feeding pigs. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to communicate and learn from people from all over the world, by working together, eating meals, and generally just spending time with them. It is an amazing opportunity to broaden their world outlook without even leaving Japan.

Study Camp 01

Each year ARI receives 800 to 1000 group visitors from schools and organizations such as Tokyo University, Meiji Gakuin University, Aoyama Gakuin University, Utsunomiya University, YMCA, Global Citizen Society, etc. In 2003 Kanda University of International Studies Habitat for Humanity circle participated in a work camp for 3 days and 2 nights.

Various groups from YMCA, SCF, ICU (International Christian University), etc. plan work camps and visit ARI. You could join them, or you could plan work camps with your friends.
