What is ARI?
We are dedicated to training grassroots rural leaders from the most marginalized parts of the world, primarily in Asia and Africa. The aim is to facilitate self-development of rural people in order to build a just and peaceful world. As we put emphasis on food self-sufficiency we practice organic farming as an international community of learning and sharing.
What is the Impact?
During almost 40 years, ARI has trained more than 1,200 rural leaders who work and live with rural people. These graduates work in 55 countries for organic farming, rural development, health care, education, disaster relief, peace building, indigenous minority groups and so on. Through ARI training, rural leaders do not only gain skills to secure healthy food supply but become true servants for their people.
We need your support!
ARI relies on the support of individuals, churches and funding organizations to operate the training. Since we seek out people from the most marginalized areas of the world, who have very few resources to support themselves for this program, we help them in connecting with potential supporters for scholarship assistance. ARI’s training is made possible by its supporters’ generous contributions.
